Here's some pics to see how it works, you just unscrew one pipe and screw the other in with the cooler. Now you can see how easy it could be to fit another style cooler from a Mustang or similar. Non oil cooler pipe vs oil cooler pipe and oil cooler Not all blocks have the same size oil doodle. Bf turbo, territory turbo and fg gas are confirmed the same thread, however territory na has a smaller diameter doodle and others may have as well.

trist4nn Member 26 Member For: 3y 3m 14d Posted 10/06/22 11:24 AM Share Posted 10/06/22 11:24 AM ahh I see that's a totally different piece than I was imagining. so it must plumb to an external heat exhanger somewhere? cant quite see from the photos but does it divert *all* oil flow through the fittings out the bottom and back in? if so its basically just doing the same job as the sandwich plate ive got here. whatever it is plugged in to heat exchanger wise might be the key, if I can find that part. also yes sorry this isnt trans cooler related now, I've a standalone thread that would keep it out of the way. The external heat exchanger is the radiator, there are coolant lines that run to it. The oil goes into the flat sides of the cooler. In other news, mods are ghey

SirFaffer New Member 20 Member For: 7m 13d Posted 14/04/24 07:53 AM Share Posted 14/04/24 07:53 AM what is everyone doing in regard to the coolant lines that go into the exchanger once they bypass it to an oil/air cooler at the front? I could just leave it connected but if the inside of the exchanger degrades im going to be dumping my coolant all over the road lol. https://www.carmodsaustralia.com.au/PWR-PWO0528-XPX-Trans-Oil-Cooler-280-x-255-x-19mm-3/8-Hose-Barb https://www.carmodsaustralia.com.au/Raceworks-RWF-411-08-06BK-AN-Female-to-Barb https://www.carmodsaustralia.com.au/transmission-oil-cooler-adapter-fittings-2pk-ford that's what im planning on using, plus some 3/8" tube of course.

I'd just use copper pipe as it's easily flared and bent but that's me. Pretty sure they sell a pipe to connect them and fits to the old mounting locations but unsure of the name...
SirFaffer New Member 20 Member For: 7m 13d Posted 14/04/24 10:24 AM Share Posted 14/04/24 10:24 AM I ended up just buying a ready to install kit off ebay.. price was a bit cheaper than piecing everything together myself and I get a bracket and instructions. BarraT Member 34 Member For: 4y 10m 1d Posted 14/04/24 11:12 AM Share Posted 14/04/24 11:12 AM (edited) swap the plastic connectors around, just push in the sides inside the holes and pull the connector off. Unclip the ear nose clamps, holding the existing hoses on and replace with an L shaped hose by Gates, Part number is 02-0025 Edited 14/04/24 11:16 AM by BarraT
