hey all its time to get some new tyres for my 6t I was looking in the manual just having a flick thru and says that the 18inch rims r to have 245 tyres on them. they have 235 on them now. I have never know that a 18inch rim would run a 245 on all four corners. I dont think a 245 would even fit on the front..... any idea on why ford state a 245 on them. well now I have seen that I am thinking runnin a wider tyre if possilbe on the back.

Robbo,

The turbo was released with 245 tyres standard and the N/A was released with 235's standard all round. Not sure why yours has 235's. 235's are usually a cheaper tyres I know that. I would suggest running 245's all round.

atm cos I got 2 punchers few months back the front r like brand new 235s so when I got for some new rear tyres I will places 245 on them.

heres a pic for some ppl lol yes they r bad.... only left rear right rear is bald but no wires.

Interesting, my BF had 235/45 17's when I bought it (stock dunlop SP3000A or whatever). I replaced with same size recently. Tyre guy reckoned it should have 245...pretty sure stock 17 size is 235/45 though? Maybe 18's are 245/40 stock.

yeah I dont drive it. its parked on the front lawn im goin this week to get some new ones. (I have a another car I drive to work as I dont like taking the 6t cos I work on the edge of BHP n the sh*t u get on your car is bad)

EDIT: when I got the front two tyres they put 235 on them I didnt state what size etc as I drove in there on a flat tyre. n they chucked it up on the hoist n just did it. they should of check the tyre plate/sticker on the drivers door?? maybe I might be able to sting them for 2 new fronts
