It's the luck of the draw in my opinion, the only thing you can do is hope that it doesn't happen to you.For the record my brother in law has a VX SS with 66,000km on it and it's faultless, it doesn't use any oil, it doesn't rattle and it's still on it's first set of tyres which have plenty of life left and they're wearing evenly also. So that just goes to show that everybody makes good and bad ones.
