Couldn't sort out the mass PM so here ya go nightcruise3promo.jpg

Hey everyone,

Firstly I appreciate your patience, I have been absolutely flat out lately which has been the reason for the delays.

But alas it's all done now.

Below you will find brief directions of the route as well as a map. I strongly advise a CB as there handy in case you get lost and also to enjoy the mid cruise chat/sh*t talk.

MEET POINT:

Forest Hill Shopping centre. Ground level in underground car park off Canterbury Road.

ROUTE:

nightcruise31map.gif

* Exit car park and turn Right onto Canterbury Road.

* Follow all the way to Montrose and turn Right at first round about onto Mount Dandenong Tourist Road.

* Follow all the way up the mountain then back down again ending at Burwood Hwy.

* Turn Right onto Burwood Hwy and follow all the way to Springvale Road.

* Turn Left onto Springvale Road and follow all the way to Neapean Hwy.

* Turn Right onto Nepean Hwy then Left a little way up at the round about onto Beach Road.

* Beach road then becomes Esplanade (amongst a heap of other streets) basically just keep following along the coast and it will eventually turn into Beach St.

* Follow this round and turn Left at Beaconsfield Pde then onto The Boulevard.

*This follows around onto Todd Rd, then turn Right at the round about onto the Freeway.

* Up over the Westgate Bridge then take the first exit then left onto Melbourne Road.

*Follow all the way down then Left at North Road.

* Follow all the way round till you get to Victoria St

* Turn Right on Victoria St.

* Turn Left onto Kororoit Creek Rd.

* Turn Left on Millers Rd.

* Right onto Esplanade

* Then Right onto Pier St

* Left at Blyth into car park (If anyone from over that way knows of a better spot to finish at let me know)

It sounds like alot but it's pretty straight forward with alot of good twisty bits, multi lane straight bits and nice cruising roads.

We're still a bit low on numbers so if you got a mate or two that’s dragging there heals then get to work and make sure they come along.

Rules.

In order for every body to have a good time, a few rules have been implemented. Failure to abide by these rules will ensure you are not invited to future events held by FordXR6Turbo.com.

The reasons for these rules are:

Safety - We don't want to put any of our members, and the general public in any danger.

Public Perception - We do not want the Ford XR6 Turbo community to face the same ridicule and stereotypes other car communities face.

The rules are simple:

Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines etc... Any breaches will be reported to the local police.

There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members.

Use the Buddy system; always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn and to make sure nobody gets lost or left behind.

CB Radios; if you don't have one, follow the maps and directions given out. If you do have one, please limit chatter during the twisty parts of the cruise. This will allow the cruise leader to relay information about road conditions, upcoming obstacles, etc. efficiently.

By attending this cruise you agree not to hold FordXR6Turbo.com, its Administrators, Moderators, Cruise Organisers, or Owners responsible/liable for any damage and/or grief sustained (simply; if you stuff up it's your fault, not ours).

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask before the cruise.

This will be my last cruise for a while due to the fact that (as you all probably know) I no longer own an XRT.

I’m in the process of organizing professional photography as well as drinks for everyone.

I hope everyone has a great night an enjoys the chance to show off there pride an joy.

Cheers,

Dillon

I'm from Altona, I'll think of a better ending than the Coles carpark, maybe along the beach but there isnt much light there or the boat ramp has a nice big carpark, or bunnings along millers road.

Altona beach may be difficult if its a nice night, same along Williamstown beach.

Boat ramp parking is payment required. I don't think everyone will like $18 per car for a 20 mins stop, I have a season pass so I'm fine. Chances are the inspectors wont be around, but this is Hobsons Bay and they will always find all the money they can.

Other options are the Bunnings as you said, but their entry and exit driveways are a bit steep and painful.

There is a big carpark with 24 hour food at Central Square in Altona Meadows. Been on a few cruises that have ended there, and its a pretty decent spot. Bayfit gym/pool in Newport has a large and lit carpark. Or there is the carpark in Paisley Park next to it.

If people are really nice, there is the carpark out the front of the council offices/civic centre in Altona too.

And I just thought of the Altona Workers club carpark, next to the boat ramp.
