I'm interested in knowing how many people are now converting to turbo cars from na, and the extent of previous ownership from other turbo addicts.

I have had 2 previous. The First was a Pulsar ET Turbo, just stock with an exhaust. Went pretty well, I thought it did anyway, for my second car. A few more cars later I got a Series 4 RX7 Turbo and thanks to it being stollen I was fortunate to be able to go to town on the engine with the insurace money as they blew the stock engine up. Went really well did a 12.9 quarter from memory. But my XR6T will be my third turbo and tenth car and cannot wait to get my hands on it. Should be the end of the month.

Had a TD Cortina with non-crossflow 250 that had a very primitive turbo kit - no wastegate, boost controller, intercooler or BOV. Just a turbo and a big sidedraft Weber. Very quick car, heaps quicker than XR6T, but not as refined. The more revs the more boost! Put your foot down at 100mph and it pinned you back in the seat. XR6T just dawdles at that speed in comparison.

The T is my 3rd turbo, hence my tag.

03 XR6T SSS No mods. Definately the best. Rigid chassis. Brakes let it down. SSS is fantastic!

98 200SX 5sp - Boost control to 16psi and cat back exhaust. Big gains from minor mods. Stolen once and recovered. Now driven by riff raff types which is a pity.

88 Celica 5sp with a 3SGTE engine from the 90 Celica GT4 - Boost control 3" exhaust, filter (still a front wheel drive). Ate 3 gearboxes and 2 clutches.

Being addicted to turbo's, I hope that the XR6T stays for the long haul in the falcon range! Maybe I'm pushing my luck, but imagine if Ford built an XR8T! (Forgetting for a moment the complexity of single vs twin turbos, lack of space in the engine bay, cost etc)
