when I looked into a kaaz I was told they need the oil changed much more frequent and the oil is alot more expensive, this is something to think about if you do plenty of kms

Thanks for the replies guys. I might look into the harrop / kaaz options, 2nd hand LSD's from the other models seem hard to find

FTG Auto Salvage have a fair few BF LSD (2.73 ratio) diff assemblies in stock that fit the G6ET. Freight cost to country SA was much either.

KAAZ units should be in the $1,500 to $1,900 region fitted. Part number is DAG3830.... any specialist shop should be able to tee you up. Believe that Hart Transmissions at Brendale have already done a couple.

I would invest the $$ in decent tyres rather than an LSD, unless your well over 300wkws.

My G6 runs good, fast laps at wakefield and Marulan, mid 12s at wsid without traction issues if driven smartly, giving it easy throttle inputs in 1st & 2nd.

The FG has the luxury of being able to fit wide 295 tyres in the rear without touching the guards, or 305s with rolling the guards.

I've been actually supprised with how much grip mine has with 295 and the stock open diff... its done 20oookays now and is still very tight, leaves two fat black lines when you get excited :)

If your only running around 300wkws, just get some decent tyres.
