G6E Turbo 08 Member 6 Member For: 15y 3m 22d Posted 20/08/09 11:04 AM Share Posted 20/08/09 11:04 AM As we all know the G6E Turbo doesn't come with LSD standard. I wanted to find out more information if it is actually possible and what options there are. Has anyone here done an LSD conversion? And if so, did it make much difference to the performance of the car?

Cos im a cheap bastard, I just bought a complete LSD diff assembly out of a BF GT from FTG auto salvage.Depsite what a certain well known ford performance enhancement business said, it was a straight bolt in fit (They told me told diff yokes would need to be changed but they didnt)In general driving there aint much difference (on a stock power level car) with it fitted BUT if ya like to pedal the car thru the hills or like giving it a bootful from the lights (and not have the TC cut in) ya can now switch TC/DSC off and just go for it. Install cost was nothing as I installed it myself.

If we got quite a few people on here with T's and some G series wanting to upgrade we can group buy and save $$$$.
