Did the final recce today! Wasnt going to but then needed to head down that way for some work stuff. Took the ute, no grunt and rickety but the old girls a good sort.

Final length is 199kms. About 2.5hours driving between first and final meetpoint (on speed limit and slowly in some sections). I guess in with stops, it'll be a 3-4hour cruise.

Changed the legs up a bit, few un signposted ones (SOR spec!) but you'll know where to go, some potentially fast (legally of course) targa style stages.

There are no BP's that will be open other than at Gateways

Just so everyone is aware, the roads are country roads. Some certainly aren't as smooth or wide as Roe Hwy but that'd be too easy! Some pic's so you know. One thing you will notice is the amount of lines painted in some areas. Time and place and those people obvisouly know lol

This section looks familiar....

this will be the final meetpoint, as there's not much else in the area. Cant see more than 5/6 people coming so plenty of room

Bonnie's is private property & I can guarantee you wont be welcome unless someone has a boat hooked up to the back of their car, and they also have a lease on one of the lakes.

Yer, I looked today and Bonnies is definitely out as it is a business etc.

I found a carpark to the right just before the freeway on the eastern side but its not signposted and kinda random. Are there any empty shops etc down that way?

I didnt even realise there is a caltex down there. Has to be kinda low key spot for a meetpoint that wont attract attention

Caltex would be a bad idea. It's almost impossile to get fuel there at time due to the number of cars in the servo n shops behind it.

The only two car parks close are the spud shed or baldivis shops carpark.
