ahh, sorry for leading you astray mate. I must be on drugs... What should be done is this:

Litres used divided by km's done multiplied by 100 to get the value per 100km's

You need a full tank initially for it to work. So for example, say you just done 500km's and put 50L of fuel in to fill it back up.

(50/500)*100 = 10L/100km's - So that's an average of 10L per 100km's traveled.

So with my car, I'm getting about 550km's from 58L

(58/550)*100 = 10.54L/100km's

Sorry bout the mistake on my behalf, dunno what I was thinking...

thanks for this calculation notol, im going to give it ago, I dont trust the trip computer

I just got an EX chaser as well and before being on this site I assumed 15Litres/100km was pretty average for a XR6 Turbo, but I now know I shud be looking at around 12-13Litres/100km with little traffic and thrashing! since then Ive installed a liquid injection LPG tank and my fuel usage is about 20Litres/100km!

Is it a ex-chaser thing??

How do we go about lowering that fuel usage? I took it easy with my LEAD foot and still the usage for me doesnt vary much in numbers, am I missing something?? will a TUNE sort all this crap out???

Tune will fix it. However, mine is stock, I went for a drive over mt glorious (super twisty and hilly) and back along the highway for a hundred clicks and My average was 12L/100 which is very good. Then on other days I'll struggle to get below 16L/100 around town.

I've learnt to get over it. I didnt buy the car to save on fuel....
