hi dudes

was talking about my plans for mods with a guy at work, he knows cars well but mainly jap cars. and when talking about getting a in tank walbro, maybe a surge tank with an 044, and bigger injectors. he couldnt understand why im not upgrading my fuel pressure regulator. I haven't found any info on here about anyone doing this.

is this something I should be looking at?

or is he just making assumptions?

cheers

the stock fuel pressure is enough to run larger injectors.

some people who have high power run after market rising rate regulators that add more pressure as boost rises.

for some jappers they dont have the option of using larger injectors as they dont have flash tuners and need aftermarket computer systems or interceptor / fuel cut defenders.

to compensate for more boost they jack up the fuel pressure as a cheap hack.

you only wanna start playing around with the pressure regulators if you want to get extra fuel through the standard injectors which is what I do with my EB. Works a treat if the maths and testing has been done. Wouldnt do it in a BA they are to easy to tune.
