I had RE050 for the track and were great there but on the street no good as you need to keep heat in them to keep grip. When cruising between 60 - 80kph they were absolutely crap.

my 2 cents

I run nitto nt05's on my car if you guys havnt noticed me spamming about it. They are a semi slick with about 10-12000km life span. I got them from a hawthorn in victoria. They are rated higher then the invo's.

I asked brandon for a street tyre, not a semi slick.

Ill give you reviews when I get the car back from my latest tuner early next week... once I can actually go over 3000rpm...

Let us know what you think of them when you get the car back, also what did they cost you in Victoria?

Apologies for the hijack John.. :buttrock:

Good luck with the tune. Hope you get the power your after and im sure Dave is the man to get it. :spoton: Just a quick question seen as most of you guys been there. What are some good street tyres for say around 400rwkw. Will be fitting new turbo soon so would like some good rubber to handle the extra power.

TOYO R1R's champ :spoton:

Stick like sh*t to a blanket on the rear of my F6 with 400ish at the treads in 265/35r18, only downside is they only make them in sizes upto & including 18" at present :freak:

Ive used federal 595rs's in the past & when you get heat into them there pretty bloody good. Ive just bought another est to suite my daily 18's so I'll let ya know how they go when I eventually get to use the car.

Thanks Spiro, we have a 20psi tune that made 434kw that I'll be using for my attempt at a 10 in street trim & as my daily tune & for 5hits & giggles we turned it up abit & at 26psi & still on straight pump fuel it to went 521rwkw. It would of taken more as it seemed to be doing it easy but there was no point.

We have a couple of little things we wanted ironed out before we chuck race fuel at it but that might be a while now because I start over in WA next week but when it does happen im sure the results will be positive.

Awesome Jon!! About time you had some luck with the build :D

When are you coming back over to Perth? More importantly, when are you bringing the car?? :buttrock:

Take care champ & I'll catch up again with you soon.

brandon, in your opinion, what street tyres (not semi's etc) no matter what the cost is, will hold 400rwkw+ with no traction issue? Cause im sure everyone on the forum would love to know with your wise wisdom

eagle f1's will hold fol 400kw all day long

I had f1's brand new. Didnt hold 320 at all. Was passing people going sideways. Fun, but not what I was after. Sold them to forum member I think bout 6 months ago and got the semi slicks.

I should be over in perth as early as sunday night but I can't fit the car in the luggage so it'll be just me again sorry lol.

Any feedback on tyres that work is appreciated. I'm gonna have a shot at using the federal semi's again so I'll throw my 5c in when ive got something to add. My thoughts are theres gonna be alot of rubber marbles unless I do a skid in my driveway before I leazve everytime lol.

I'm happy with my Federal 595rsr's thanks to you qik1. They hold my 300+rwkw with ease in the 4speed but doubt they will hold high 300-400 plus with a ZF 6sp! They will be alot better than most tyres though.

I have done nearly 7000km now and there is still plenty of tread left and that includes one night of drag racing with 4 burnouts. Both tread wear indicators are still there.

I should get 20000km out of these tyres, they are 8months old and rubber is not hard yet.

Glad I could help. I had them on when I was makin 380 plus kw & I found once I got abit of heat in them even on the road I could stall it up & any role on was more than safe to sink the boot in that's why im having another go with them but a fair bit wider this time round
