It's been drivin me nuts since I got out here because I'm away for so long and can't enjoy the fruits of my labour so to speak so will be nice to come home and have a little something to show for it. The hours do keep me occupied especially with the new position I've got out here, makes the days and weeks go bloody quick. Let's just hope the reassemble and refit goes smoothly and I can finally enjoy it, guess we'll soon find out

Thanks for the feedback bloke ... much appreciated!

Bloody hell only 8000km and a failed # 1 bearing as well as piston skirt damage on all 6 Pistons!!!! :w00t2:

Sounds like you had to pay for all this work? Why no warranty from either Atomic or SVS?????

Hope all is sweet now and you have no further issues :beerchug:

Great to hear the fresh engine has arrive ... be nice to see it around again :w00t2:

Ok ... will do bloke.

Do you know what caused the damage to the Piston skirts and number 1 bearing in the first Atomic Motor?

What did Atomic say when they rebuilt it?

Lets know when you have the beast on the road again :stirthepot:

Bearing damage yes but abit of a long story though and who's fault is ??? Can't comment on the piston damage cause that's why I bent over and paid as to who's, what, when and why it happened it couldn't be narrowed down to. Abit rough all round to be honest but I've moved on and can't wait to drive it again. There was not much to say but it's a badass engine now and to make sure it's all good before it goes back in the car I got it run in on there engine dyno plus they wanted to hear what the new pistons sounded like. As for back on the road I'm hoping as early as this week cause I'm going home a couple weeks early so hopefully I get to drive it then.

New cosworth pistons are very quite, to be honest I couldn't tell the difference in noise between them and the standard ones..

Hope you get your car back this week, I know what it is like having your car off the road for a longer than expected period.. All worth it in the end!! :3gears:

Thanks mate, will be good to have it cracking again. I'm still not holding my breath cause I've been disappointed so many times with this car but either way it will happen, eventually
