Just a qq....

Sydney - Digital - Channel 90 (9HD).

Did a re-tune a few night back to pickup the new 'go' channel and noticed that we lost audio on Ch 9 HD.

As we have packed up the other plasma and screens, along with the DTB's have no way of checking if its just this screen on not (internal tuner)...

Cant be bothered unpacking all the other gear in storage.. :outahere:

Anyone having a problem with 9HD in Sydney?

And yes have done a re-tune again alone with all the usual crap - cable checking etc... So its either CH9 or this crap LG Plasma!

Thanks in advance all....

:spoton:

I lost 90HD audio ages ago. SD was OK. I just rescanned tonight and it's all working again. Try it again. With the additional station they have probably changed their bandwidth for each channel or something like that. The decoders need to realign. Try it.

Ahh, I had issues over the last couple of days, I get 9HD and Digital but I can't view the program listings through my Topfield box, all other channels ok except bloody 9. It means I can't setup program recordings, I have to actually wait until the show starts and push record.

I went onto the topfield forums (I know, forums about a HD recorder), post a topic up to vent and responses to technical beyond my knowledge with codes and firmwires etc????

Anyone else here have a topfield or tivo?

I read about this in the paper.

Ch9 is blaming old firware and STB as being the problem.

You will need to update the firmware on the STB to get it working.

Hey mate,

I purchased the TF7100HD PVRt about 1 month ago, loving it, its a fantastic product. I am pretty sure it has the latest firmware installed which is dated march-09.

Great to hear someone here works at Topfield, could be handy

If its a common problem with Channel 9, Topfield may need to release a new update

Cheers

Mate - WORKED... Not works...

Now own and run my own IT company and AV/CE business... so if you want anything let me know.. :stupid:

Finished up when Topfield Korea decided to drop DPG from being the local importer/disty and run with their own company backed office and warehouse.

They got upset as we were developing the BeyondWiz box!

Was interesting considering we were developing a box/system which was streets and levels ahead of anything TF had!

While the topfields are a good box - the BW is far far far better... But you will pay for the extra, its just a case of if u really need it or not...

The TF7000 series are a good product. To check the firmware just jump of the topfield website and check what the latest FW is - they may have had a refresh but cant be sure without checking. Might be worth even emailing them and asking the question.

If there is problems with how to use it, or even the FW upgrade process let me know. More then happy to try and assist.

I used to write some of the quick start guides for the TF range such as the install process for the 6000's wireless function...

Anyways, I think the current problem might be a broadcasters issue - I might get off my arse and get one of the other boxes out sometime this week and check it out... Thought it might have been a bit wider spread issue then only a small handful of us.

Why use one word when 450 will do hey? :stupid:

Lost the centre voice channel the other night on 9HD here in Brissie, was watching a movie and wondering WTF was going on. Like it was in karaoke mode. :geek: They always seem to struggle with their audio up here though so it could be totally unrelated.

BLK6T....

Mate, after you mentioned you had a TF - decided to dig mine out and plug it in..

Low and behold - WE HAVE 90HD AUDIO...

But switch back to the PDP - and nothing... :(

So looks like it might be a firmware issue with some of the decoders - in our case the crap'tackluar LG PDP and in your case the TF...

Going to try and chase up firmware upgrade for our PDP... So anyone else - best of luck!

CRAP channel 9...

:tonguepoke:
