Would a good clean up and paint with VHT high temp paint do the trick, or would this not last? Thanks, Coop.

Would VHT high temp paint last on cast alloy or tend to flake off after a while as well?If I were to get it sand blasted, most auto elec's have sand blasting chambers to clean up and reco alternators and starter motors don't they? Thanks.
