I'm about to pick up a cheap damaged boot for a $1. LOL. I've got no ideas about painting cars............

Any way. I want to give it a quick coat of black paint to see what it will look like on the red car. Is there anything I should or shouldn't do so that it can still be repaired and painted by the panel shop.

I was just gunna get some black spray paint out and give it a once over! I don't want to make it harder for the panel beaters though? Any prep work that should be done or not worry about it?

Cheers

use black duck tape instead. this is easy to apply and remove and will give you an idea on the looks

That's a lot of duct tape! I have spare bonnet and boot to be used for the transformation! Just need to know if to avoid painting it or it won't matter to a panel beaters. They will probably need to strip it anyway or will they?????

It would take about 2-3 rolls of tape that would cost less than the paint.

It is also easier to remove, as stripping paint will add more work for the painter.

Painting roller - water based paint, and your back yard roll it on and check it out..

Over it - or dont like it?

Then just go wash it!
