I went to a stereo shop and they did something at the back of the unit (pulled it out) and the sensor doesnt work now (which is what I wanted) so if people want it 'bright' all the time, then go see a stereo shop and get them to disable the auto sensing crap cos its annoying cos sometimes during the day if its foggy u need to put parkers on at least and screen goes too dim so it got annoying, but then again, at night its bright as all hell lol

maybe not an option for all but was best option for me as I try not do much night driving (kangaroos).

While we are on the subject... whats the small black sensor-looking thing directly above the icc screen that faces down? Always wondered, never asked.

I know it is a infared sensor for something, maybe the satnav option.

No one worked out how to stop the screen from dimming? I would like to be able to do this also.
