After an excruiating wait, I finally got my baby. Took her for a run on the GOR and then parked her in the garage while I when to Canada, New Zealand and Melbourne. Couple of days in between, but mainly just wash her and garage her. :nugget: I'm on holidays now for a couple of weeks and I'm driving to Brissy on Saturday. Went up the Blue Mountains yesterday and will do as much driving as possible til I go back to work.Enjoy her when you get her.
HellionXR6T I'm Back!! Thats right, long over due! :) Lifetime Members 4,348 Member For: 22y 2m 16d Gender: Male Location: West Brisbane Posted 08/09/03 12:30 AM Share Posted 08/09/03 12:30 AM Sixfan, ed-au-ba-xr6! :o Such a response only indicates to me that you guys must secretly, really want to be Team HgAg members. Classic case of HgAg-envy if ever I saw one. It's ok to admit your initial colour choice was a rushed, un-thoughtout affair, determined by the impetuousness often associated with youth. Nobody blames you for being attracted to the flashier, sparkling colours. It's not your fault, you were drawn, neigh, compelled toward the pretty colours. Oh Ken,Yes the 'Foo foo' is out of the bag.....lol. I'm secretly yearning to become a "Team HgAg" member. I've had enough of darkness and it's time for me go head for the light. It's time to cut my hair (what's left of it), retire my artistic flare, guitar and vocal ability, throw away the Metal 'T' shirts and long sleeved 'T's and live a life of solitude. Hmmm, then it's off to visit to David Jones and have my belly custom fitted for a nice conservative HgAg "cardie" while I have a nice warm cup of "Earl Grey" and quander about the endless possibilities of joining “Team HgAg”.....It's time to join the ranks on the sophisticated, prim and proper society.......... <Thinks of Silverhawk and splits down the middle with laughter>..........Yes I see the error in my ways an realise that going for such a flamboyant yet controversial colour was defiantly a foolhardy and childish thing to do. Can I please be inaugurated as a fully pledged “HgAg” member.Chr*st............That's the largest amount of 'guff' I could possibly spit out in one paragraph!LOL...... Long live the Guild of Adventurous Colours. You go away for a weekend and look what happens. As for what I think of when I read HgAg - the "H" is the sound I make just before I "gAg".This from a silhouette owner who spends more time trying to get his car clean than driving it
Redhawk ....Time to lay this fairytale aside...... Donating Members 2,657 Member For: 21y 10m 10d Gender: Male Location: In the Ferry on the River Styx, not getting out just yet! Posted 08/09/03 02:12 AM Share Posted 08/09/03 02:12 AM A hypothesis on defective colour perception in elderly personsAn alloy of mercury and silver (+ other bits tin ect) is called amalgam and is used by dentists to fill holes in peoples teeth. From the posts of the cardigan set team HAG I suggest a hypothesis for thier inexplicable behaviour eg buying a car of the quality of the XR6 turbo, and then selecting such an bad colour and then being proud of it:They're suffering from mercury poisoningwe know that: - dental amalgam fillings consist of 50% mercury - mercury leaks from the fillings- mercury is highly toxic and- low grade chronic mercury intoxication can give rise to symptoms as; anxiety, irritability, fatigue, outbursts of temper, stress intolerance, decreased simultaneous capacity, loss of intelligence, indecision, headache, depression, defective colour perceptionI suggest that people with poor dental hygene and multiple fillings become more likely to buy this colour as they age. The older you are the longer you are exposed to the mercury leaking and thus warping ones mind in ways that can be easly demostrated (use the seach facility and look up just about any KEN 24T post and you'll see what I mean.)so why did Ken get a merc silver car?He ate too many lollies as a kid and didn't brush his teeth. Geezus sixfan, that puts a whole new slant to the meaning of 'Lateral Thinking' :D I thought my diminishing mental capabilities was souly due to years of alcohol and substance abuse, namely painting out ships water tanks with silver paint!! (the RAN had the right idea all those years ago, decades before it became trendy to be seen in public flopping around like an untrained seal with silver lips and nose). Yeah, I'd die laughing at that image too Ed..... If you feel you need to take such drastic measures with your apperance to be a Team HgAg member fill your boots mate, but it isn't really necessary as I said I don't even own a cardi, although I did try to get the Supreme Harpie (EID's Mother) to knit me one with Ozzy sitting on a throne like off the album cover of "No Rest for the Wicked" or the beast on the cover of Nazareth's "No Mean City", but she can only knit, bunny rabbits and Enid Blyton characters, and as I don't own a Phantom 'T' they would look out of character. :D Oh, well the T shirts will just have to do.
