single 3.5" will outflow the 2 x 2.5", even though the cross sectional area is almost equivalent

reason being the circumfrence of the single 3.5" is

(3.1415 x 3.5 x 25.4)= 279mm

and the circumfrence of the dual 2.5" is

2 x (3.1415 x 2.5 x 25.4) = 398mm

therefore there is 40% more surface area in the dual system, which will create more drag....

as far as what effects it has on power figures, who knows.... but it will flow more freely

Haven't had a problem with my single 3.5in on the BA and I live in flood territory so I wouldn't worry about it.

Maybe whoever told you that has the mild steel in stock only!

I have a 4" dumpy and 3.5" xforce system in my car and it sounds like a jet.... no drone at all on the highway really happy with it :) when u change gears it makes this cool " doooo " sound too haha almost like a turbo diesel truck , but not as noticable.
