what was the end result of this my 03 ba ute is doing the same thing drives fine then under boost it takes off fine but then starts to shudder nd carry on the has even stalled on me b4 only got the car yesterday from q ford ast springwood should be fixed under warenty but still would like to know what the problem is so I can tell ford

I am also having the same problem with my 02 xr6t, am in the process of it all now, done the spark plug gaps, new coil packs, and we are going from there, will let you know if I make any progress

Sounds like your wastegate actuator. More specifically you might have a hole in your actuator diaphragm which is causing a an overboost problem hence why the car is cutting out...or maybe even possibly a lean out problem...chances are its an overboost problem.

Hook up a boost gauge to confirm or dispell this issue.

iv booked it in at ford to have them look at it itc coverd under warrnty so not 2 worryd bit anoyed though picked it up on tuesday d started doing this the next day

I did have this issue at one stage.

Found out the bottom hose out of my boost solenoid was adrift.

Reconnected it and all good again.
