They charge extra for this and you will have to stand by them and watch them do it to be sure. Even then it will be a minimal sandOnce they have painted over the unsanded original colour, the paint work is stuffed. Nothing you can do except take it down to bare metal. After market paint jobs are usually crap compared to factory but there is the odd exception like Mirage in Perth who do a spot on job but they only do BMWs and wont touch a Ford.Your a bit of a moron but not far from right. I wouldnt trust most panel shops with my wheel barrow to be honest. I work for Charlie Battisti & co and well the amount of re works we get from other panel shops is funny to say the least. For people who know we only do high end, so our customers expect the best of the best. Edited 05/08/09 10:23 AM by HUSSLN

Otherwise people might think that you're a bit of a moron because you do not know basic English. But at least you have an excuse. Solvents do cause brain damage. Its still not law to use it here in spray shops but Ford and Expensive Daewoo have been using it on their production line for a few years.. In most European countries and in some states in America it is compulsory. I have seen the solvent system been used up against the waterborne system at the Standox training center at Riverstone and every time there was always a difference in the finished product usually the gloss levels, and Waterborne has a harder finish. But untill we swaps over there will always be a difference.

We have resprayed close to 30 brand new 1series BMW's due to poor factory finishes. The aim of the game is to repair and paint like you can't tell.
