Condition is good BUT my only concern is the boot doesn't sit flush, its not overly huge but when you look at it from the side theres a bigger than normal gap (fairly decent size) im more concerned it may have been in a low speed collision up the rear but the salesman assures me its not on revs and as far as he knows has never been in an accident. Also the rubber around the doors looks to have been re-nickied or glued. Car is $25,888 but they've offered to pay my current loan out ($16xxx) and start me on a fresh finance for 24k ....... is it worth it or should I hold out for a better car???gotta go cheers

And also will be very hard to sell when the time comes.my 2 cents.Goodluck with whatever you decide.

There's never any recording of repaired damage...the dealer would (should) know that.If you're happy with the car then just make the repairs to the boot a condition of the sale. And squeeze them a bit on the price, depending on the condition of your trade there's nothing real special in those figures.

I would walk away from this one.

I've thought hard and deep about it and realise I am being impatient lol Decided instead to wait till the weddings over (Late next year) and just buy a FG XR6T .... hopefully by then the 08 models will have dropped and I know I'll be much much happier with it ....cheers dudes and dudettes

oldskool Member 144 Member For: 18y 8m 28d Posted 28/08/09 01:34 AM Share Posted 28/08/09 01:34 AM bit steep for the overall condition of the car. I paid approx the same for a dec 06 with premium sound and 34,xxx kms.Have you had it RACV chekced (or by a similar company), they are pretty good at picking up previous accidents.Autions are always cheaper but there is always the level of risk that comes with buying at auctions including the cost or rwc, rego etc (dotn thik it comes with one in auctions in melb).if your in no rush like you said a fg xr6t would be sweet

As you say, one good thing about cars is that they get cheaper with time (for the what you are looking for today). Me, am secretly hoping my BA will get collectors item cult status but somehow doubt that LOL.

Lost about 4 grand. I would keep looking as the others have suggested. Its a buyers market for sure.
