my wife beats me ............................so I only get what she gives out

You poor bugger ... so you are into those games! (wrong forum!) :spit:

dont make me f*ckin glass you

That won't work ... if you are married she owns the car !! If you divorse then it is gooooone!!

I Convince my missus to buy clothes and handbags all the time so I don't feel as bad spending money on my car behind her back.

My missus manages the funds so I cant hide anything. She does have a weak spot for shoes.

I had to buy her a bigger house as she was running out of space to store them and I still like to play with mods.

I have a mate who always talks up 'his mates car' or 'has an uncle who'... You know, the usual sh*t, his uncle had a djr xr8 when I got my turbo, then I worked the turbo, and his uncle put a blower on his djr around the same time, I usually bait him when the missus is around and she gets a bit fired up, then any mods are her idea. It take some timing, that and my birthday is in a month, so that's always a good one (birthday, fathersday, and xmas, is an average of one mod every 4 months)

That is a different approach ... I like it.

So let me get it straight...

1. I need to find a friend, rello, or one of her ex-friends boyfriends who has a car that is faster or has some better mods.

2. I need one of my friends (one that she likes) mention during a casual conversation that that car is faster, has better mods and does better times.

3. I then need to mention to her on some possibilities on how my car can be "better".

4. Wait patiently ...

Sounds like a plan. I like that one.

That is worth a beer my friend !

Its easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Nah I dont use that one I really would lose my balls. I think mines got use to the idea that this will never end. I pulled the I just want to know that your gonna be safe in it & it wont break down so it needs a build/forged box & engine. It worked im still here & with both balls. JUST!!!

Just get a women that says - I think you should do it!

:)

Or if everything else is good with the women, just tell her - its broken, and to fix it will cost 150$ or you can get an even higher grade version of the part for only an extra $25. Keeping in mind all the while u know that the basic version is only 50$... :)

This gets my vote for quote of the month!

I only allow myself a small 'fun budget', but ever since we went on a 10 week europe holiday, and I gave her a diamond ring, I seem to be getting the nod for anything... maybe that's the trick

I generally use the following:

1. The part there is worn out/broken/damaged and needs replacing.

2. It'll make the engine last longer / it's a preventative measure to prevent the engine from blowing up.

3. It's my enjoyment / fulfillment / keeps me happy / keeps me going - Gives me something to look forward to. It's my reward for working hard, gives me purpose in my life etc.

4. Buy the stuff behind her back and get it fitted when it goes to the mechanic for servicing or other work.

don't forget the most important reason - "I am only doing this for improved fuel economy, think of the money we will save in fuel"

"but it cost you $8k" she says scratching her head (and looking more than slightly fcukd off).
