Well, install was aborted due to a fuel elbow (or something) that they broke and they didn't have a spare. Just a waste of about 3 hours of my time, and a rental car, etc...

Of only people did what they said they would do and planned ahead.

I'll update once it's done.

OK. All I can really say is WOW. :D :D :D I picked the car up last night and drove home, and it just feels like a different car. In reality, it has probably exceeded my expectations.

I'm going for a long drive over the next few days so by Monday night I should be more experienced with the upgrade and will post again over the next week.

Apparently 9.5 lbs boost. You can now hear the blow off valve when you get off the gas. I need to Dyno so I can see the actual rear wheel Kws.

To give an idea of the power increase, I was changing lanes and kicked back to first (yes mine is an SSS) at about 30 k's and the rear wheels broke traction (in the dry on tarseal). It will also break traction changing up from first to second. Thank goodness for the traction control!

I have driven a 300kw HSV and this feels like 400kw in comparison.

Ok. Deep breath taken. All I have done is installed 2 things, the BMC Carbon Fibre airbox and the Powerchip 98 chip.

The guy who installed the chip for me said he adjusted it to 9.5 lb boost.

The air box was about $550 and the chip was $1395 plus $100 to install.

Love the result!

Thanks for the feed back gareth , I cant wait to see your dyno results. Do they reprogram the ECU or is there a extra chip? I had my BMW done and they just reprogramed it via the link .
