Congrads on the new car, enjoy it!

I went to Ford looking for an 8, nothing no one told me would make me get anything else but an 8, was drawn to the car for its awesome inertia and ipod iteration and want a V8 that's it, not questions asked.... well that's until the dealer grab the keys to the FG FPV F6 and taken me for a spin around the block, my jaw dropped to the floor, jumped in for a run and while in third gear at about 50km or so put my foot down a little(not fully) and felt a God like power rushing as the turbo started to spool up sucking me into the seat like a magnet. it something else, now I have driven turbos before 2 Wrx's the first shape and the bug eye shape, but this thing is in a league of its own.

Now my attitude is V what? LOL turbo 6 all the way.

This comment never makes sense to me.

Warranty Period - you mod, something breaks, you pay

End of Warranty Period - you mod, something breaks, you pay

Whats the difference between doing it now or later? Just own it long enough to give it a hard time and make sure everything holds up. Anyissues, get them fixed, then mod. Why bother waiting for the warranty to run out?

When I owned mine, I had an oil leak on the front timing case. Took several visits to get it fixed, but once fixed I modded it straight away.

I modded my current car within 1 month of owning - 2008 Audi TT.

Cheers

Dan

I guess for me, its cause you just splashed out 50 odd grand on the car I want them to fix it if it brakes, I would like to mod it but for 3years I want them to fix what brakes, after that I will mod and if it brake take it on the chin, but I dont want to take it on the chin when I know they can take it for 3 years LOL.

Guess the fact is if you put on a few mods and the engine has major internal problems from factory and it blows a day after you are totally screwed for a new engine of 5 to 8 thou what ever they cost etc, I will rather be a few kw short for a few years and let them take the 8grand cost.

I guess everyone is different, if you drive an Audi im guessing you aint short of money, it brakes you fix it easy if the banks accounts loaded but most ppl are trying to make ends meet and splashing 40 to 50 on a car has set them close to broke, everyones in different situations.

that's me and that's why I try not to mod while in warranty and think brattatude is making a wise choice on not modding until after warranty, let ford fix it lOL.
