Measure the gap and use this as a base line to aim for once the lowered springs are in.does that make sense?

What is the difference between and camber kit and just putting shims in at the top control arm?

They can not shim it enough without a camber kit. What camber kits are you all using?

Guest EGOXRT Guests Posted 02/08/09 10:36 AM Share Posted 02/08/09 10:36 AM You will have to measure the old brackets and shims to the centreline of the bolt first, do this for all four brackets. Do it in a vice, makes life easy.Once you have done this, fit the new brackets to the arms and measure from the bottom of bracket to the centreline again, then add the required shimsto give you the same measurement as you had with the old set up.The new brackets have different geometry, and you will find you have used a different amount of shims to achieve the same figure. It won't matter much as the wheel alignment will change all this anyway but it will get you there without a hassle.
