I've driven on them plenty of times and they are shocking with any amount of water on the road. They aquaplane!

25 psi in em they didnt shock me I was actually expecting them to be a handful but were ok under cautious driving in the wet

dunno might of just been good roads or something but was definately suprised how they held the road for a semi slick

the new toyo semis look a lot better for a more street looking tyre more pattern might have to have a look at em

In anticipation of joining the 300+ club I am interested in knowing what type of tyres members are running on?

I've been running on standard 17s since day 1 at 250rwkw and traction hasn't been a real issue but I expect it will when I make the leap to 300+.

It would be good if you could include:

1. Brand

2. Model

3. Dimensions

Thanks

245/40/18 dunlop sport max

Just swapping off the Dunlop Sport maxx 245/35/19, been a great tyre, got 15,000k's out of them not great mileage but hey. The have worn evenly (worn a little bit more on the shoulders, my cornering technique, flat out) and the rears have worn a little more on the inside shoulders, that's my acceleration technique...

Been great in the wet, and dry unless I get them spinning, then feels like you are driving on marbles..

Bloody noisey on our harsh chip ashphalt roads around here. replacement cost here in NZ $429 ea, ran 38 PSI cold, 42 warm.

Just getting my 245/35/19 Maxxis Z1 Victra's on Tuesday will see if they compete at $350 ea I get one free compared to the Dunslopies...

OUCH! I got 4 of those tyres last week for $229 each. NZ prices are BS!

I just changed to 245/35/19 Marangoni Mythos all round. Better than the Dunlops and Yoka Advans I ran on my other Phoon for about 60% of the cost. They are quiet grippy and responsive. Fantastic tyre IMHO.

My front Dunlop Sports MAX still had 50% tread so I left them on for a week and then decided to put the Marangoni's on the front as well. I could definately notice another lessening of noise and an improvement in the front end traction.

Yeah I had Mythos on the BA, awesome tyre and very affordable.

Toyo Proxy4 295x30x19 on the rear of the FG... they grip well, but pretty darn wide so they should lol

$360 each from St George tyres... all other 295s were well over $500 each

kumho KU31 hold power well 275/30/20 $242 each or 245/35/19 $225 each, I used to run MAZ-1 but they go out of round and loose grip after they wear a bit.

There is a seller on Ebay seling 235/45 R17 sunny ultra high performance tyres, has anyone tried these?

They were compared to the Khumo ku31 and came out on top and are a jap import tyre.

Guess I'll have to see if they'll go up in smoke like the dunlop sp3000 did.
