Is it worth justifying the extra expense of $500 for Cal 3 when I presume all tuners can still perform the same results with a Cal 1?

I have heard that the xcal3 is faster, it also has data logging builtin to it.

Is that right or am I mis-informed?

So they changed their mind. So...XCal1 is still usable providing your tuner is a registered SCT tuner with Herrod's.There's no repairs on XCal1's though, so if it breaks then you'll have to upgrade. But I don't think I've ever heard of one stuffing up.The XCal3's are poor quality. The first one I got had a broken screen and Herrod's didn't seem interested in replacing it. The second unit has a broken clip from when it's been assembled and the screen is on an angle. They just seem cheap and nasty. IMO they're certainly not worth the price we pay for them! But I guess it's a lot cheaper than the $1395 I paid for the XCal1 when they hit the market!
