There's going to be some pissed off fans when their merchandise has the wrong badge on it if this happens.

unless people were lucky enough to buy their merchandise after ford dropped tripple 8 as there is no badge on it

I agree with you Our06t if lowndesy goes to Expensive Daewoo looks like I am supporting Expensive Daewoo again

if this is true prepare to see djr start going backwards even they have said that the 888 chassis has helped them lots

well this one is strike two fark up by ford......still trying to come to terms with ford dropping the V8's produced cars in the 80's...sitting down and watching dickie in a mustang the only ford on the grid.......on the bright side at least they still produce quick cars....I think in the 80's once the V8 was gone ..the quickest ford was a tx5 turbo telstar......I see the end is coming or changes to the V8 super cars.......about on it's knees....

Firstly, it was ford that turned their back on these two... Lowndesy who got second in the championship only a couple of years ago, and Whincup who kicked ass last year, and is doing it again this year has managed to do it without ford backing... Its fords loss, and as for cry babies, what about all the factory backed ford racers who couldn't get their sh*t together. Ford turned it's back on 888 lat year and Whincup is sticking it right up fords racing asshole.

I'm hoping for a third manufacturer so I can stick with the 888 boys and stick a fig F**K You to ford racing in oz. I bleed blue blood when it comes to V8's but ford is making mine everything but at the moment.

Ford didnt turn there back on Lowndes and Whincup, Lowndes is still pulling a salary from Ford this year, 888 have the cash and resources to survive without Ford cash (well apart from the huge sums they paid for 888's driver this year) SBR didnt so for mine the non FPR dollars went to the right place. Maybe if Dane wanted to keep the ford cash he shouldnt have spent so much time courting Toyota.

This shouldnt affect DJR's and 888 relationship. The talk is DJR cars will be even more supported by 888 next year. Only question will be if the DJR cars will be a Expensive Daewoo or a Ford next year.

Ford shouldnt have stopped supporting 888 based on the fact their business would be successful without the money from Ford. They should have kept the money coming into 888 based on the result they were producing. They wont be leaving Ford all together, they will be simply be helping both sides.

Dont forget, tomorrows press conference will also be to announce the departure of the current Expensive Daewoo boss.
