Hey guys,

Since having my diff replaced, the tip-tronic on my ZF has been playing up. 80% of the time its not working. When it is working, it seems to work once the car has been running for a while - not so much heating up, as its normally after about an hour or 2 of driving (stop start, turning the car off, coming back to it etc) it will come good and work normally.

Ford are covering it all under warranty, but everytime they go to look it, the gears work, everytime I get home with it, it f*cks up - WHATS GOING ON :(

Its a pain in the ass not having the gears, but at least Ford are covering it all under warranty, and my car is well out of warranty.

that's a new one! Aint ford quality a wonderful thing, glad to hear they will be replacing it even though the car is out of warranty. Id say its probably a simple electrical problem.

Let us know what went wrong.

Ford @ Darra - They need it back to try fix it, but every time I go to take it back to them, its working and there are no fault codes. But when I get home, it will play up again :(

serch the forum, I have posted the fix for this many times

Just read the link that Adam posted and will give what you've suggested in there a shot. Is there anything else I should check, or are you fairly certain that is the issue?

Thanks for the help!
