Howdy all,

Ihave recently invested in a FG XR6T....WOW, what a beast!! I'm curious if anyone out there knows of someone who has sprinted the quarter 1/4 mile & if so what times are they capable of in stock form. I've heard the occasional chit-chat of high 12s - low 13s?

Appreciate your response!

.....Niko

Hi Niko and Welcome to the Forums.

I think you'll find the average time is around 13.1/13.2 quarter mile.

Benny

fxxxxxxxx that is so damn quick, I keep seeing comments of the new FG Turbo pulling times like that one mag said it can runs something like 13.2s time after time without effort where some cars will run 14.2 then a 13.9 then a 14.7 etc this thing is such a beast, come on Ford build my ute the wait is killing me now! LOL

considering this is a factory production car right out of the box , it's a great performer & value for money....can't be beaten!!!

I'm organising to take it to the creek for a few blasts down the 1/4 mile hoping to keep up the reputation of a low 13s beast.....wish myself luck!

luv it.....Niko

I ran last night at willowbank and did 13.2 with an air temperature of 13 degrees.

July 2008 FG Turbo 6 speed auto. No mods whatsoever. 7000km's on the clock. Half a tank of Caltex 98 Octane fuel. Full size spare tyre in the boot.

No tricky launch, just released brake and hard on the accelerator. No stall up.

I'd never been on the strip before so it just goes to show how good these cars are as there was no skill to my technique.

Even left the baby seat in the back.

Man the Fg is a beast and a half of full cream dairy, damn that's quick for a stock car, was reading thunders post and thinking damn 13.2 from someone who has never ran before how good is that and then a 12.7 from someone who has (well im guessing he has?) this is just getting better and better, what a car!
