Also if you get one now it should be the bf mk2 upgrade so you'll get premium sound and the different side skirts.Id suggest looking at a few in person to make sure its straight and if it is you should be ok. The lack of test drive sucks but its why you save heaps. Surely a day or two off work to save thousands is a good idea. Theres usually 3 or so at the same auction so you wouldnt be pinning your hopes on one car.

Well not after a year anyway. However, its a downfall getting the turbo because you will no doubt end up "modding it" - its hard not too. Though the upside to that is its cheap to mod, however my main concern is blowing the ZF, I hope its tough.BTW - I simply booked a flight to melbourne, flew down went to the auction the next day and brought the car - drove back to adelaide. Took 3 days off work. You can view all the cars online, with photos and pickles has damage reports on them, ie where scratches are. However, mawfowles or whatever they are called seem to have more cars.Arh and to add, if you going to get the turbo then the PBR brakes are a must have. While you may get an excop or high milage car, it is more worthwhile than getting a BA.my car is a great example..Ex cop car..Breeze BF MK1 XR6 Turbo.. 6 spd auto.. ZF..82,000km$22,90013.3 second repeatablle times at 105-107mph.. stock..great car and great auto..
phil545 Member 47 Member For: 15y 3m 11d Posted 18/09/09 08:27 AM Share Posted 18/09/09 08:27 AM just stick with a 4sp box , I dragged off a FG XR6 which had the 6sp in it (I knew this because he changed like 3 or 4 times while I was still in first) anyways I held level with him unitl first maxed out but we had to stop for a red light, I was at a stand still and he slowly krept up (as he backed off earlier than me) and then jumped me at the lights (prolly scared I would have beaten him if he lined up next to me) anyways the new FG with more power and torque and also more gears still aint any quicker than a stock BF SR with a 4sp LOL
