Panda Eyes flame magnet Gold Donating Members 5,674 Member For: 16y 9m 13d Gender: Male Location: adelaide hills- 'race air' central Posted 24/07/09 12:34 PM Share Posted 24/07/09 12:34 PM finally got around to putting a trans cooler on...got a pwr 280 x 200 x 19mm. came with a quick install kit- all I had to get was an extra m of hose and the roofing screws to fix to car.cut the lines fromm the trans at the drivers side bend (they follow along the back of the radiator, along the bottom.slid the hoses over and hose clamped them tight. then ran them through neatly to cooler and attached.gets heaps of air flow here and fits like it was designed for that posi. It helped for a while but the 4 speed still died....Twice... I bought some flare to barbed fitting and installed a swivel nut, flared the end of tube and installed the barbed fittings and two clamps on each fitting. I did this after watching a mates hotted up cj7 jeep burn down after one of the trans cooler line became very soft due to the heat in the trans and was pushed off the tube (he didnt use barbs).
