When I first bought it I gave it hell for like a few months, then drove normally.. Then got it tuned, and again gave it hell for a while, then normal again.. and so on and so on.. Basically if I add a few mods I'll 'test' em out for a while but then get bored and settle down. Right now im happy with it, its the fastest car I've ownd and is the funnest.. 80% normal driving the other 20% are for friday nights and seeing how small things get in the rearview when the lights go green heheh

still give it some when the situation/urge warrants it. But I am extremely respectful of what's on tap.

It only takes an overly exuberant twitch of the right foot and these things can become very dangerous, very quickly.

For me it was a steady progression from a Stock T 185 rwkw to 280 Rwkw, then a Phoon with 312 rwkw and another Phoon with 370 rwkw.

All of the above were a big leap from stock NA sixes 7 years ago.

The best way to find your car and your own limits is on a track. Not a public road

Spot on!!

You have to respect these things

It doesnt take much for the traffic at the lights to fade away in the background now days. I drive mine nothing more than 1/4 throttle most of the time. The main reasons I dont hammer it is petrol prices,License and dont want to break anything for nothing. They are an addictive thing and can get us into alot of trouble quickly.

My driving habit would have changed for sure after getting my mods done. I was never an idiot driver before hand, but exactly as the OP has said, did used to give it a hiding now and then. But since having all the mods done, that situation is alot less.

I drove it hard when stock, then a bit softer after the tune, just because it felt so much stronger lower in the rev range.

I feel as if I might be driving harder lately though.

Could be related to the cold weather.

Cold weather. LOL Ghosti. You going faster to get warm. Love ya work. Should catch up soon! I'm overdue for a stint down the coast!

Never really gone crazy with my car. Enjoy that acceleration of the T though. Driving has changed slightly with a little one now in the world.

ive owned my xr6t for about 2 months now. I used to drive a vs ss that I used to cane everywhere. going to a xr6 my driving has calmed down heaps. I still give it just to remind myself that the power is there. its a stock xr6 turbo sometimes breaks traction going into second even though its auto I duno if this is normal even with new tyres but it shifts pretty hard. I think if I get some mods ill be a pussy lol but at least il know the power is there.. :d
