Anthony Mundine last night fulfilled his vow as a nine-year-old to win the world championship his father Tony Mundine fought for and lost in Argentina in 1974 when he defeated Antwun Echols on points over 12 rugged rounds at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

I've never really ben a fan of Mundines until lately because of his arrogance and fights with Neville Nobodies but he seems to be maturing. Good on him I reckon.

Don't like The Man myself, but before the fight he said something that almost knocked me off my feet "He's only muscle and bones, just like me" Was any one else shock by this as much as me? he seems to be taming down a bit. Good on ya for winning a REAL fight, but your still a knob in my books.

I thought he was a wa*ker as a footballer and I think he is a wa*ker as a boxer.

At least as a boxer, someone can sit him on his arse and shut him up!

I like Mundine, good on him. But personally, I thought the fight between Oskan and Chong(5th Bout) was heaps better. That Samoan fella just wouldn't drop.

That fight was a classic, Mundine kept on running around the ring backwards half the night then he was holding echols hand for the other half, but I must admit good tactics and he deserves the win.
