Zf 6 Speed Leaking

Hi guys...I got a BFmk2 XR6T with 6 spd auto. Just got home from a weeks holiday and found a oil leak biger than a dinner plate under the vehicle. Had a quick squiz possible a rear extension housing seal....anyone had any leaks b4..have not heard of any. Got it booked into Ford Tmoz for checks.

No not yet...taking it to Fraud tmoz morning and see what they say...........it usually sits there for a week at atime seeing as I walk to work but this time big leak. Sh*t box thing.....they can fix the RR diff cradle and engine mount to........cheap nasty things

if its not one thing its another sometimes. They'll have a better view up on the hoist. Make sure they check the oil level because if it does get low they can do funny things. It doesnt have to be that far off for it to play up either.

cheers qik1...will get them to check it....it is $40/litre.........if its been leaking its been doing it for a bit......best them to pay for it. Might leave a 6pack in the car for the mechanic....might do a better job.

yeah its expensive gear so better them payin for it that's for sure. Its all warranty so the shop itself isnt payin for it.

A 6pk always works & they'll remember that for next time!!!

Just got my car back today from Denmac Ford........it was a leaking wiring loom plug in the gear box........apparently they have pulled off the pan, fixed the leak and just topped up with new fluid. Seeing as they are sealed for life, is this right? SHould they have replaced filter and all oil?
