Guys with the machines... Yes the coffee is good, but you really got to try it in one of these if you have not...one you do you will switch off the machines you have at the power point.

There's some good looking machines available these days.

Some people want a good cup of coffee 'quickly & easily' with some of the smaller - almost automatic - machines whilst others with big fancy machines obviously enjoy grinding the bean as much as drinking the end product.

Thanks ppl...getting the machine out of mothballs this arvo

Wonder if I can still do love hearts with the milk. :)

I agree, but the machine I have at work can make a coffee as good if not better than most of the cafe's in Sydney,

so my next home machine will be a pod type.

Don't even get me started on latte art, that sh*t is gonna be the death of me!!! I desperately want to be good at this.

Sorry WOGPOT, cant agree with you on that one. I have an Italian heritage and have been drinking percolated coffee for as long as I can remember and IMO it doesn't even come close to a good espresso.

The coffee machine at my place is a Jura. dont know if its a known brand or anything but is good to use just put beans in the top and it grinds it and makes it.

The thing is a total trooper makes about 8-9 coffees per day and has been doing so for a couple years and nothing on it has broken. and to clean it you just put a little thing like a dishwasher cube in a slot and it fully cleans itself.

because my mum has it set to only half fill a mug for her gay lattes I set it on 2 cups of long black into one cup.

But if at coffee shops I go the cappuchino because ive always had pretty awful long blacks at coffee places. Not strong enough

I got this machine. Makes the best hot chocolates and caramel lattes. Old man always makes short blacks when he CBF making a batch with the percolator

Remember the Seinfield episode when Kramer gets free coffee as part of his compo claim. At times I've had a few too many regular coffees, so much so that I became jittery and unable to focus on my work. Quite a few times I have gone cold turkey and gone back to my old self after about a week but with withdrawal symptoms.

So I try and limit to special occassions,

I find coffee doesn't help my lower back pain

if I wake up in the morning, I cant get back to sleep if I had coffee the night before

makes me jittery if I overdo strong coffee

actually makes me more tired after the coffee wears off

makes me piss more during the night so don't get a good night sleep (good info in a previous post about the stones)

I cant focus on my work as well compared to coffee free.

But in saying that I do like a good coffee and coffee beans, especially with cake

Alright.. Latte art is something I find awesome.. A nespresso machine doesn't allow you to be too creative in it but when I play around visiting my parents I can do a string of hearts but that's about my limit..

I accept no credit for the following pictures.. They are done by a good mate who since 15 wanted to make coffee now makes more money than alot of people with uni degrees..

Manages a small specialty coffee shop that only deals in pure origin beans. Best cup of coffee I have ever had..

Its funny when I used to hear my dad say "god that was a bad coffee" and I had no idea what he was on about until I started buying coffee at regular coffee shops and wow, yes some places make a shocking cup

Finding a good place is key when your out and about

Who has recommendations I say BEAN BAR is good
