Hi All, I have read all about the in's n' outs of these systems. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried PowerStrip or Soft 15kHz software to convert vga signals onto the ICC and if they were sucessful or not.... Nearly all cases have ended up using a VGA Arcade Card to solve these issues but yes just wanting some feedback from anyone who may have tried these...I'm thinking obvisouly it's going to be alot easier to fit a laptop into the drawer under the drivers seat (Territory Turbo Ghia) and outputing from the external display port with the touch screen fitted over the ICC and linked via USB . Any Info would be great!

Cheers Punchy.

I have heard of it being possible but fairly painful/time consuming to get right.

I have a laptop to stick under the passenger seat, just need to get motivated to install it and get it all working.

Post results if you have a go before I do.

Imho it's not really worth the time and effort to use the CGA converters - been there, done that - and the end-result was less than satisfactory.

It may work if you spent a princely sum on some exxie CGA converters, ie top-class ones, but, avoid the $150-$200 ones, not worth it. Then rather get an Arcade VGA and a Dual Atom Zotac board - might cost slightly more at the end of the day, but a much better result :)

Keep us posted anyway, something different is always good!

Good luck with your endeavours....

Which Zotac atom board do you have in mind? I was going to go with one of the ION ones and use the converter that you were originally using for your Typhoon. It seems you weren't happy with that so I'm back to looking at an ArcadeVGA... but the ZOTAC ION boards don't have any PCI-E or AGP slots.

So many potential ways to go...

None of those have PCI-E or AGP slots though =(

Also, a bit off topic, but does anyone know if the dual core Atom will be able to playback standard def digital TV channels? I'd like to add a USB tv tuner to the build but not sure it it'll handle the playback.
