Yea, if they're always in the sun (ie. car left outside all day) they will perish and go hard faster then silicon. But at the end of the day, they seem to give a much better clean for the life of the blade.

Hopefully that's fixed the problem for ya XtRmn8 :beerchug:

I hate to admit this but I find that the ones Ford sell are the best I have come across. Streak free and lasts much longer then repco or super cheap blades.

Well at least up until a month ago, when I fitted these suckers...

I fitted these about a month ago linky and I believe they are the best.

Replaces the whoe wiper head(same sort of blade as on the commonwhores)

Only problem is they are not cheap ie $30-$40 a blade

Yet to experience any real downpours, but thus far they are frickin awesome.

Yep I agree the Bosch are the best, the blades though can be replaced just like any other arm. the difference is these are one piece so they are ultra quiet and there is no slack as the arm is forced to mould to the windscreen.

At 30-40 dollars they wouldn't be far of the Ford replacements would they. ?

Yea I agree that the Bosch Aero replacement blades are awesome. We got them on the Mondeo (how they come from factory) and after two years not one streak, just perfect every time and no noise what so ever.

I might give the aeros a go on my car at some point. But I am just happy for now that my $5 rubber inserts are not skipping around like the silicone Bosch ones did.

Also from memory the Bosch Aero replacement blades were about $45 for the pair from Supercheap.

Good to hear that fixed the problem for ya mate. Sometimes it's just the simple things that make the world of difference.

Have a good one! :beerchug:

I stuck on some bosch ones from supercheap a month ago, about $15 from memory for the rubber (silicon?) and backing strip, and they squeal like a stuck pig...usually. Seems if I'm driving and warm air is flowing over them, they are quiet for the first wipe, but after a few wipes in the cold rain they get noisy. hideous if the windscreen dries as the rain slows. I have to be forever adjusting the speed or going to autowipe. Very annoying!!! Might try el cheapo ones :/

@ SteveR If they're squealin, then more then likely they are silicon. Rubber should not squeal on glass.
