This is something people should realise before deciding to lower their cars. Ford spend a lot of time engineering cars to handle/perform at their best, people change them. If it's all for looks and your happy with that then fine.. just don't expect it to perform the way it was designed to, because it won't. My father wasa performance/emissions engineer at the Ford - You Yangs(recently retired)... he drilled this into me soooo hard it wasn't funny. After market parts can improve a vehicle, altering the balance etc will compromise performance. Aftermarket parts and modifications will of course alter things....in the case of suspension, balance will be altered. But this does not by nature translate to "worse handling" or "not performing as intended". Ford, as with any other mainstream manufacturer use the word compromise as part of their design strategy. If it is handling in question then they must find a compromise between outright road holding ability, ride comfort and perhaps of primary consideration for them, price.I doubt there is much argument that if the BA/BF series had come out with Tein performance coilovers they would have run rings around the handling of what they actually came out with. The negatives would have been people whining about ride comfort and a car that would have had to be priced $1500-2000 more expensive than it was.To summarise the point, Ford, like any other manufacturer spend a lot of time engineering cars to handle at their best within budget constraints and being mindful of the balance between ride comfort and handling.
