Is your oil level ok?They are a good box but they still fail and obviously in standard form also. Maybe just bad luck.I would try your Ford dealer first and as said previously if your service history is up to date they will put in a goodwill request to Ford and hopefully they will contribute.Goodluck mate. We had it in our shop loading it up to test the coils & obviously put abit too much load on it for to long & its damaged something. Didnt push it any harder than we would at the drags but I spose anything can happen at anytime. Its blinking like its in a limp home mode but it wont drive at all. Nothings visually damaged underneath so thinking internals. Gonna leave it til tomorrow & have another go. Letting it cool down last time it happened down the track seem to do the trick. ebxmple Member 1,322 Member For: 17y 20d Posted 20/07/09 09:04 AM Share Posted 20/07/09 09:04 AM that's pretty cheap for a ZF. A 4spd with cooler and stally is about 4g so 5g isnt too bad as they are a pretty involved trans.

Mine cost $3200 including stall, cooler and drive plate plus the bigger servo etc. Some people have payed 4g and even more, especially if the box has been dead on arrival like this ZF.
