Do you like the number plate holders that dealers put on cars, or do you hate them?

I hate them and specifically told the dealer that I didnt want there stickers or anything on my car. When I showed up the day before pick up to check out the car there was a sticker on the back window, it was removed before I left. I agree if they want to advertise they can pay me.

Well I tend to agree above.. The number plate holder i dont mind.. not much a big deal, but the rear sticker on the windscreen i think is a bit too much. They look too big and too colourful, they need to be designed in a way that they can be seen, but dont take the look away from the car, and turn it onto some sort of marketing medium.

Yeah, I'm kinda the same. I told the dealer I didn't want any stickers on the car, but I'm OK with a licence plate holders. However, the custom ACT plates don't fit into the standard holders, so they couldn't put those on either. Not that I'm complaining. :)

However, when I picked up the car, there was a dealer sticker on the rear window which I got them to remove before I took delivery.

I only ever previously allowed the dealers sticker on the rear if it was like CJF077 said. I never allowed, number plated holders or any other sticker (except rego for the cheekie ones)

I now allow two sticker on my car. The dealers with the same rule and FORDXR6TURBO sticker. The later I want to be big, beautiful and noticable.

I will gladly tell my friends and anyone else that will listen, if I have been looked after. However, I refuse to drive a billboard around so no stickers or plate surrounds for me.

A couple of dealers here in VIC have little adhesive badges they stick on the rear and/or side of the car...that really looks bad (IMO)

Hate them. Obliterate them.

With Extreme Prejudice.

Dealer was told NO STICKERS, so there was only three on the car when I picked it up. They were peeled, screwed up and handed to the dealer... He looked a little dismayed, then a little guilty when he remembered that I'd asked for none...

I've left the rego plate holder on until I get my custom plates (still waiting...), after that it's outta here.

I also agree - if I've been treated well, I'll send more business their way, which I have already done (one of my friends bought a N/A XR6 from there because I told him the guy was pretty good...

Its not just dealers who put stickers on your car.

When I got my windows tinted, the place put 3 stickers on my car. I waited till I was home before removing them.

Another time when I took the sneezer to get some audio gear installed, they put 2 stickers on the rear window. I peeled them off in the workshop and asked were the bin was. They looked at me strange. I said "if you want to do the install for free - you are welcome to put the stickers on the car"

sh*t Hot XR8Chic. Id say the same thing. I hate the way these companies take it apon themselves to put stickers on your car. sh*t, even Ultratune do it! (not that ive ever been to ultratune, but ive seen them).

I removed the ford dealer's sticker 3 times! Once after I got it (the original one), then once at a service, which I then stated everytime after - no stickers. Then I picked it up after the next service. A Sticker! the service manager got an ass kicking for that! :cussing:

As you can tell, I hate them :D As for the numberplate surrounds, they arent as bad, but I think they make a car look untidy, especially when they are a few years old and half of the white text has worn away. Makes it look like you dont take car of it...
