Mate,

They are HOT!!!!!!!!!! Something you probably see more on a VT/VX commodoore but nup, they ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice choice with the Winter White. Very classy yet sporty at the same time.

thanks... they look pretty good.

Looks like you've kept the standard ride height.

After Sunday, I've started looking at replacement 19" wheels also.

From what I can see there's not a lot of choice in tyre sizes to keep close to the overall stock diameter.

From my checks using a falken tyre site I've found:

stock 17" tyre of 235/45 has a diameter of 25.3

replacement

front 245/35 19" has a diameter of 25.8; recommended rim 8"-9.5"

rear 275/30 19" (as in your picture) has a diameter of 25.7; recommended rim 9.5"-11"

What size (width) rims are they?

How much harsher is the ride?

Are you going to get your speedo recalibrated, or not worry as it's not that much out?

Another thing to check is that I can fit much larger calipers to the front without problems, or the need for a spacer.

What other tyre sizes are people using?

thanks,

brian

bcl, :beerchug:

I am running 245/35x19 on mine, According to that thing on the Hume H/way my Speedo is 4kph fast at 110k's so I just keep that bit up my sleeve.

Cheers, Bazza.

Very nice - similar to the BBS that Herrod use I think.

And I have to say, you're right - they look unreal in the flesh. I'd seen pictures before and not liked them but after Sunday I was sold.

I went with 275x35 on the rear and 245x35 front, no more rotating wheels. I'm going to have the car lowered by one inch soon and replace the shocks with aftermarket bilsteins re valved to a targa spec rate by Heasmans in Sydney, they did a lot a work on my XY, in my opion one of the best suspension workshops in Sydney.
