Well I figured it's about time I posted my new car up in this area.

It's a 04 BA MKI XR6 Turbo with 25,500kms on the clock.

I bought the vehicle in May with the following work already completed.

Nizpro stage III.V Engine and Kit:

− Nizpro forged pistons

− Carillo connecting rods & bolts

− (Better rods & pistons than those usually used in stage III kit (same as the stage 4 nizpro 1200hp engine))

− Billet oil pump

− Upgraded water pump

− Upgraded Camshafts

− Nizpro heavy-duty valve springs

− Cylinder head combustion chamber was modified (also stripped, checked and cleaned up where necessary)

− Crank, rods, pistons were balanced

− New rings and bearings

− Block was sonically tested to ensure no core shift or other problems

− All clearances are machined to exacting standards (blueprinted)

− PWR v8 supercar alloy radiator

− PWR ducted engine oil cooler & braided lines

− Nizpro Upgraded turbo (T66 compressor wheel and compressor housing (.70A/R), ported wastegate & upgraded wastegate Actuator)

− ECU controlled throttle dependant boost control

− Factory Dump pipe and 'Modded' Cat with Cat-Back Remus Exhaust

− Nizpro Upgraded injectors (72LB)

− Nizpro Fuel Pump

− NizEdit and custom tune

− Nizpro cast alloy intake plenum

− Nizpro cast alloy rocker cover garnish

− Nizpro intercooler hoses

− Nizpro cast alloy throttle body adaptor

− Nizpro cast alloy thermostat housing

− K&N air filter

− Nizpro Fibreglass air box

− Odyssey battery

− Nizpro battery box

− T56 6 speed manual box

− Dowelled flywheel, AP twin plate clutch (a few steps up from the F6 typhoon one)

− 355mm AP 2 piece rotors front, 343mm AP 2 piece rotors rear

− 4 spot CSC callipers Front and Rear

− Ferodo DS3000 brake pads

− Zeal/Endless Super Function R Alloy body double adjustable externally dampened coil over shocks all round (with Custom mounts to allow adjustment of alignment).

− Shocks revalved, & tuned to suit by Ben at Race Pace.

− King springs (F), Eibach (on adjustable height platform) ®

− Whiteline front sway bar

The car currently makes 357rwkw @ 16psi

However something failed last weekend in Cylinder 4 so the Engine is currently being removed and assessed. from there it shall be rebuilt and hopefully with a few goodies to see me over the 400rwkw mark.

Ouch!

That engine should've easily handled that power level. There must of been some other factor than power that finished it off.

Was this car at Nizpro for a long time?

I remember seeing one like this there a few times.

CHLAXN - What I decide to change will depend on how much it costs to fix it, but yes I will be getting the Nizpro 4" system as a starting point, then depending on budget we'll go from there. I hope yours is coming together well, keep me updated mate.

rhys86 - I have some better pics of the car that I'll try to upload tonight, the ones I have don't do the car justice.

Adam - At this point we're unsure as to what has happened, all I know at this point is that Cylinder 4 has no compression, so the engine was removed on Friday and will be stripped over the next few days to assess the damage. Also yes the car was at nizpro for several months in 2005 being assembled and then again in 2008 being used for the development of the Nizpro 4" system.

As soon as I know what happened to the engine I will post up in here, and I was really surprised that the motor has failed, but it does go to show that even built motors are not bulletproof.

Cheers

John
