im running roughly the same power at 13.5psi (perhaps my dyno was a bit happy?)...but having issues launching with this new set up (being able to stall it up now while the brake is on). best 60ft I got was 1.977...am I being too much of a "nancy" with this new set up? what 60ft would this setup enable me to achieve in the 60ft department roughly? also would u guys recommend lowering the mt's from 14psi to 12ish? any info would b much appreciated.

cheers

I've never driven on MT'S but all who launch well on them make a lot of smoke to warm them up. I've seen a fair few in the 1.6 to 1.8 range. What gearbox do you have?

As for the same power on less boost your mods probably flow better. Mine has been slowly buit up over a couple years mainly with 2nd hand parts.

Monza copy Intercooler

Hurricane 4" 200cpsi cat in the stock exhaust, front muffler swapped for hotdogs

flapper mod and 12psi actuator

60lb injectors

f6 lower snorkel and k&n filter

herrod intank pump

think that is it, it's being held back by a few thing at the moment but apprentice wages will do that to ya.

im running the zf6 auto...I mite just have to grow a pair and stall it up until I break under 1.9's or break the dam car

what 60ft times r u predicting with your new setup with the zf6 ( I assume that's what your running?)?

Dont be to hard on ya self mate it took me a while to crack consistant 1.9's & have only managed a best of a 1.8 so far. You really need to get some heat into the mt's to get them to work how they should. Townsville is not the best track for traction at the best of times so your doin ok. the trick is a quick & fast burnout. Get it up to 200 as quick as you can, the higher the wheel speed the more friction & then the more heat created with hopefully not too much heat soak. You'll have to toy with the revs abit til you get it right but I find about 4 - 5 psi is the max I can load it up to in tville otherwise it just wheelspins on the line & then ya stuffed. A low 1.7 on any track is very respectable so that should be the aim but any 1.8 in tville is nothing to be sneezed at a street meet. Dont be shy to use the handbrake but there is consequences if ya get too carried away. lol.

I'd be happy if I could get a few runs with 2.0 second 60ft times on the street tyres, yes I have the zf and can stall it up now. Bit hard to practice when my street tyre pressure is 40psi and my handbrake is non existant.

it does make it hard down at tville trying to keep it on the line. full pressure on the brake pedal & just creep the handbrake on & laod t til just before the wheels slip. once it starts down there theres no hope. The only way to get it right is get a couple of trips in a row together rather than 6mths apart like whats happened this time round.

im sure we can get a few together no worries. Would be good to go for a blast up the coast road & then around the hills. As soon as I get mine back im goin straight up that way to run everything in. cant wait to get back up that way.
