North And Far North Queenslanders

Hey guys,

Just wondering how many of you members are from North and Far North Queensland?

I'm up near Innisfail FNQ (back to silkwood as of a month or two ago) and wouldn't mind having the odd cruise, just rarely see any happenings up this way in that regard.

Also just heard from a mate (was involved with the building of Holeshot drag car years ago) that there's a bloke from the region looking at or wanting to put a drag strip on the Tableland near Mareeba somewhere. Probably not the best place due to altitude but still would be a good thing for stirring up some of the local performance boys and providing us with some local fun. Just hope it's more then a rumor and it comes to fruition.

Anywho, look forward to seeing how many we have up here and maybe catchup and have a beer or two one day.

there are quite a few of us around in townsville and cairns and even I think 1 from tully.

im keen to see who else is in townsville. seems to be a lot more poping up lately

Hey mate. Yea there would be a few more in Tville, larger population to draw from. If we can motivate a few more, we'll organize to catch up for a few beers for sure!

Yea, kinda why I thought I'd ask the question. Don't see many happenings up here and it would be good to get a few together for a cruise once and a while. See if we can dig up a few more locals through the forums I guess...

Hey wait a sec bro when you sent that pm I had just dinged my car and it was sitting at the body shop for 3months after I got it back I sent u a pm bout a cruise and you told me your car was getting work done and heard nothing back from yourself. If you want to organise a cruise I am down my brother.

Just talked to a fella from work and he was saying that he and a few mates might be heading down to T'ville to put the cars back on the strip in a few weeks. So might end up down there at some stage myself. Guess that wouldn't be too bad a meeting place for a start...

I'd be keen but I've just lowered the front of the car a fair bit and have it booked in this Monday for a wheel alignment. Don't want to risk driving 600 odd kays and risk chewing out the new tyre's. Maybe in a few weeks though!
