So, what do you actually get with the Sat Nav? Has anyone here got it & if you do, do you use it regularly? Or is it more of a yuppie feature that just looks & sounds good?

Define "yuppie" and I will tell you if it is or not!

It does look and sound good.

No matter where you are, in the middle of Sydney or Melbourne or wherever, if you tell it to get you to your home the fastest way, it will. Or find you the closest servo. Or closest shopping centre. Or closest hospital.

It has done nothing but impress me and all people that have borrowed my car.

Wherever I am, I can input any address or any point of interest, for example, novotel darling harbour or mcg, and it takes me there exactly, tells me how far to go, eta, redirects me if I miss a turn, shows me all the servo's on the way, blah blah blah...

Welcome aza

As most of the other guys are saying Premium Sound......really not an option, a must!!

Mud spats too....IMO

3" stainless steel straight through exhuast (with Hi flo cat)......the note man.....awesome (3.5" in you can afford it would be better still).

Premium brakes, or wait until the standard discs start to warp then ditch em for DBA's or some other good disc.

Black............. if your after biceps and triceps like Arnie. :D

Been there with Royal Blue, HgAg much easier to keep clean, (treading really lightly here, rice paper would not tear) but, whatever colour you choose they look great! .

Mondie, on the forum is selling his at a good price and from memory is quite well optioned, otherwise, premium sound can't be added later so I'll get that next model I buy. nearly every thing else can come later IMO.

My car is now sold.

But l agree with the others, premium sound is a must. l would also consider side airbags as for only $500 its a great safety feature.

Premium brakes are also worth considering, but at 3 grand there are cheaper options. Depends on how much you originality and factory warranty l guess.

The premium brakes have got to be the best and most usefull option. Its one thing having a fast car its another being able to pull up. It would cost you a lot more down the track trying to add brakes as good as the premium ones - and no dba rotors on standard brakes are not a patch on the real things.

The 18inch wheels are mainly just going to cost you more in tyres. Although they do look better and slight handling improvement but if your straped for cash then dont worry.

Premium sound - good option but the standard system is prety decent anyhow - depends on how much you like music. If you just listen to the radio then its probably not worth it - and besides you can always add an aftermarket system later - probably something with mp3 capablity.

leather is a great option - leather seats look great, feel great, give the car an upmarket feel and are easy to clean. you cant really add this easily later so its worthwhile as a factory option.

I dont really see much benifit in the upgraded wheel and gearknob - the standard ones are good anyhow. Sunroof is a personal thing - remember it takes headroom away and can lead to rust and leaks down the track..

With the tinting you can get it done much cheaper by going to the local tint place - look for one that has the option of 3M lifetime warranty. Same goes for paint protection ect - dont bother.

The factory matts look prety nice but you can get aftermarket ones a fair bit cheaper.

In short - get premium brakes, leather, maybe premium sound and then spend the rest on chip, exhuast and maybe some lower springs or suspension work.

Get Leather, its well worth it...I thought the premium Sound was standard on the XR6T ......Well it is in NZ..

Correct on both counts, Premium is standard in NZ. There seem to be a few items which are options in Aus, but standard in NZ, don't get excited though, they are simply built into the price.

I believe Side air bags are an option in Aus as well, standard here.

I would say it's simply to do with the logistics of supplying overseas. Would be harder for the NZ dealers to bring them into stock if all of the options were available here, by cutting them down, the selling off the showroom floor scenario is much easier. Easier to have options when they are made 'just up the road".

Premium Sound , must have , nothing better than the Birdman dialled up(not ricer style) whilst cruising.

Ken is the leather on the seats or on you ie. the secret ceremonial team HgAg Aprons.? Want to keep those nasty bits of coconut from the lammies out of the chest hair dont we?
