Similar problem however mine actually starts clicking and gets jammed at a certain point. I think it started recently because when I start up at 5am in the morning I wind the window down to get the dew off.

that's what my front drivers side window does... I put it down to icey dew stuff.. Might need to lube them up a bit though.. don't want my window to be stuck down :innocent:

Mine is actually jammed now. I got the silicone spray onto the rails and then tried putting it up, made a tiny bit of difference but now the bastard wont go down. You can hear the motor in it spinning around but the window isnt going anywhere :( does it on the drivers side front window.

I swear the drivers side of the car is retarded or something, put a blue led on the parkers a few weeks ago, the headlight blows straight away, fix that up, then the window starts f*cking up, now the foglight has blown (again) and my car sounds like a frog is stuck inside it.

If I have another problem I'm selling the mongrel, my skyrine never had any issues.

Panel beater friend and I took it down to the workshop on Saturday, pulled all the door trim out and he reckons the actuator is farked. Apparently it's a bitch to get out but Fraud will more than likely charge an arm and a leg to fix it.

Actuator must have busted from the power of my 4 litre naturally aspirated barge!

The window generally gets stuck or slows down half way or near the top as it presses on the rubber on the top left if its the drivers side window. I have used some metho with a rag to clean this area but only works for limited period. Lubes do work but again only for short periods of time until crap builds up, worse if you have tinting to the edge which kept peeling on mine.

I will try sanding the rubber slightly to reduce pressure and let you all know if it works or not!

I got a stick of dry lube, not sure what brand and applied some and it has helped.

However if I have the windows half was up I can grab the windows and rock it as if something has broken where the window attaches to the rail at the bottom. Hence this got me thinking if the window can move and not up/down and a straight motion this would be causing it to slow/jam etc. Might have to pull the trims off and have a look.

Are there any auto electricians here that might be able to point me in the right direction? I believe I need to replace the actuator on the window.

Where can I purchase one from? Or is there any way that I can rescue the old one? It makes clicking noises, we've pulled off the trim and the window wasn't off it's tracks or anything, got the old silicone spray all up there and that didn't help :(
