Hi am a new user have had my XR6T for about two months now 5500 kays on her... I have had some problem with it from new just wanting to know how many other people have experienced same things??

1. Brake Shudder problem (Common I think with auto?)

2. Headlight fogging up even in any conditions

3. Sometimes when cold makes big clunk when going into reverse

4. Slight imperfection in paint on bonnet

5. Seems to fog up alot inside car more than I have seen any other car anyway....

For the record I was a Die Hard Expensive Daewoo fan although never owned a decent one ( If there is such a thing???) But when I went looking for a new car after weighing up all the options the FORD had all the right ticks in all the right boxes... WELL DONE FORD!!!

Have shown my mates who both own Monaro's and they couldnt believe my car sh*ts all over em!!! heheheh Also feel sorry for people having to wait so long to get thier BEAST I only waited two months for mine!!! YIPPEEE

Hi frankg welcome to the forums and welcome to the FORD side.

Number one is common to auto and manuels.best to fit dba gold disc's it would appear.

Number 2 I have not seen this but it could have moisture in side light so have it replaced by ford under warranty.

Number 3 I have not noticed this after 25000 km.

Number 4 have your dealer look at it and have it fixed.

Number 5 have not noticed this but the a/c is always on fresh air in our car.

Ian.

P.S look out for ken24t he likes newbies.

Welcome to the party FrankG. :innocent:

1. I'd say 90% of BAs have brake shudder problem, unacceptable IMHO on a $50,000 car though it did make me feel a bit better reading a letter to the editor in the latest Wheels mag where a guy wrote in to say he has bought 2 BMWs recently (can't recall what models) and they have brake shudder as well.

2. My headlight sometimes fogs up when I wash the car but most of the time it seems OK. I have heard of a couple of other people here with similar prob to you though.

3. Haven't got the reverse clunk and don't want it!

4. Go and hassle the dealer to get the paint touched up.

5. It does get a bit foggy inside, the thing that annoys me is the vapour off the plastic dash trim fogs up the window.

6. Watch out for Ken24T

Welcome,

1. Yes

2. Haven't noticed (but only washed it two or three times so... )

3. No

4. Get it fixed up if you can

5. Yes, much foggier than any car I have had (need to have air directed at the windscreen 90% of the time). Then again, its also the most powerful car I have ever had, so I'll put up with the fog :innocent:

Welcome,

Haven't really noticed the fog thing. Agree with the others, such a new car there are bound to be a few issues. That is what warranty is for, every rattle or sqeak I speak to my service manager. :D

Frankg> welcome, and it seems all your Qs have been well covered - oh BTW, better watch out for Ken24T.

Just one more thing, I think Falchoon is exagerating just a little on the 90% have brake shudder - I'm sure it's not anything over 89% LOL.

After spending the day in the car today, the major thing I noticed id that the windows always seem foggy, even with the front and rear demisters on. Got me at a loss, but like aniken said, I'll just ahve to grin and bear it!
