Some may have seen this on another forum, but there a few guy's on here from Melbourne who have seen me about.

Anyway, this is what I copped this whilst stationary on Dandenong Rd Armadale yesterday at about 4.10pm. Eye witnesses said the bloke who hit me (more on that when I calm down) could have been travelling at up to 80 clicks and only saw me at the last moment. Needless to say he torpedoed me into and under the Discovery who was also stationary in front of me. I moved him about 2 metres forward too!

The car is being assessed, but won't know the full extent of the damage and if it is repaireable for a couple of days. That's about all I'm up to writing at the moment....might provide more info at a later stage.

Me...had a quick trip in ambulance to the Alfred....no major injuries, just an extreme case of anger, frustration and pissedoffidness......

Dave

Sorry to hear that.

I had a very similar incident in 1988 in my 3 week old Calais turbo.

Got hit in the rear by a guy in a new Alpha GTV who didn't stop, and pushed me into a near new XJS Jag.

The guy in the Alpha was talking on a mobile phone (the brick variety in those days), and I just knew that he was totally distracted and there was no way he was going to stop.

There's a feeling of helplessness as you're watching someone in your rear vision mirror who is about to slam into you.

I hope it gets a good repair job. Main thing is that you are OK, but it takes a while to get over the shock.

Sorry to see this... Some on here will understand moreso than others, there is a feeling like someone pulling your heart out through your arse , a somewhat gutting feeling when someone elses ignotance takes a vehicle you love away... feel for ya, hope all ends well. Perhaps an insurance funded FG F6?

Dont take this the wrong way, but I hope you dont get your pride and joy back. It will never be the same as it was. You'd never be happy with it. Lets hope a brand new FG F6 with those plates is on its way.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the accident!

I too would be pissed, I think any of us would be..

The damage at the back seems to be 'not too bad' for such a fast collision with your vehicle stationary; the front looks nasty however. Do you know the extent of the damage under the hood?

This may possibly a write off now that these BF's have been replaced by FG for some time now and value has dropped so far and fast. Just think, there is possibly a new car on the way for you.. time to consider a sick and twisted possible upside?
