What rear set-up do you have now and how is the sound? What rear set-up do you have now and how is the sound?I went and saw Brad at 'Oak Flats Muffler Men' and he replaced the rear muffler with a 3.5" section of exhaust piping. He used the original flange to connect it, so I can put the muffler back on easily if I wanted to, as usual, he did a great job.As for the noise........At laboring rpm its a little droney and louder, but at cruising speeds its not much different.I have only given it small squirts (waiting for re-tune), and it sounds a lot less restrictive under acceleration than it did before. How's the exhaust note going?I have to say that I am used to the sound now, and I really like it.I put the muffler back on it the other day just to re-assure myself that I had done the right thing by taking it off.Even though it is a lot quiter, it really affected performance, it strangles the car!Needless to say, I took it off again, and that's where its staying! gregor Member 459 Member For: 16y 9m 10d Posted 29/07/09 09:58 PM Share Posted 29/07/09 09:58 PM just wondering if the xforce exhaust has the 4" dump or the smaller split dump? That could be an issue. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/59595-took-a-while-358rwkws/page/2/#findComment-914157 Share on other sites
